As introduced: - Requires businesses to clearly post the price of goods in a retail location. - Prohibits businesses, excluding small businesses, from using surveillance-based price discrimination or surge pricing for goods sold in grocery establishments. - Allows a business to offer a loyalty or rewards program if any personally identifiable information collected through the program is not used to set or offer personalized prices to a consumer. - Places a moratorium until January 1, 2030, on the use of electronic shelf label systems in grocery establishments 15,000 square feet or larger. - Requires the Department of Commerce to study the impact of electronic shelf label systems on pricing transparency and employee job security and report its findings to the legislature. - Makes a violation of these provisions an unfair or deceptive act under the state's consumer protection act.
