As introduced: - Requires operators of AI companions to implement protocols to address user expressions of suicidal ideation, self-harm, or physical or financial harm to others, including referrals to crisis services. - Requires operators to disclose to users at the start of an interaction, and at least every three hours thereafter, that the AI companion is a computer program and not a human being. - Establishes a private right of action for individuals harmed by a violation and authorizes the attorney general to investigate and take enforcement action.
