As introduced: - Prohibits a merchant from setting the price of specific consumer goods using personalized algorithmic pricing without including a clear disclosure stating, "This Price Was Set By An Algorithm Using Your Personal Data." - Prohibits the operation or licensing of software or data analytics services that collect non-public competitor data to recommend rental prices to multiple, unaffiliated residential property owners. - Prohibits residential rental property owners or managers from using recommendations from such algorithmic rent-setting services to set rental prices or other lease terms. - Excludes offering a lower price to a consumer with an existing subscription-based contract or agreement for a consumer good or service with a merchant than the price offered to a consumer without the subscription. - Classifies a violation of these provisions as an unfair, abusive, or deceptive trade practice under the state's Consumer Protection Act.
